A third-generation Dallas resident, he has watched the area grow, change, and develop.
Growing up in his family’s wholesale produce business, W.W. Rodgers & Sons Produce, he worked his way from the loading dock to the office of Vice President, where he helped grow the family business to one of the top wholesale produce warehouses in the southwest. In those days, a 65 to 80-hour work-week was the norm, and that work ethic is ingrained in his personality.
Today, buyers and sellers benefit from his area knowledge and from the negotiating and marketing skills he developed during those years. Licensed since 2001, Steve has sold small ranches, urban homes, and commercial properties. As a new home consultant for a few years, he learned the mechanics of home building and how to judge quality. He uses this knowledge to ask the right questions and protect his home buyers from expensive mistakes.
Steve believes his success in real estate stems from listening well to discover his client’s true wants and needs, answering all their questions clearly and completely, working tirelessly to alleviate their stress and help them reach their goals, providing service after the sale, and adding to his own knowledge through classes focused on real estate law, contracts, and technology. He holds the Sellers Representative Specialist from the National Association of REALTORS®.
Steve’s hobbies are Aikido/Judo, Yoga, natural gardening, traveling, and visiting art museums. He’s always willing to give advice on natural growing methods, and happy to direct newcomers to his favorite art museums. An animal lover, Steve says his two Chihuahuas exert a calming influence in his life.
